This grant has been used to create an entry level robotics program at the Freeport MS for the 7th and 8th grades. Through the use of Lego Education Mindstorm products, students gain an introduction to mechanical engineering and software design. Additionally, this hands-on learning engages students in the technology that is part of the modern world.
